What is Portrait Pro ?

Portrait Pro is an adapter that is available for multiple kinds of mobile phone game controllers. Portrait Pro enables you to mount your phone onto your supported controller in portrait orientation, a feat that most mobile phone controllers cannot do alone. This type of "portrait setup" is most often used for playing Nintendo DS and 3DS emulators such as Delta, RetroArch or Folium.

How does Portrait Pro work ?

There are several different variations of Portrait Pro. The different variations ensure that the Portrait Pro fits a wide variety of different phones, different controllers and also accommodates different methods of mounting the phone to the adapter (see the Help me choose section below for compatibility).

So how does the Portrait Pro work? Essentially there is an adapter, the Portrait Pro, that physically attaches to the supported controller. The Portrait Pro adapter is then used to hold the phone in the portrait orientation by attaching to or holding onto the phone in some way allowing for comfortable and stable portrait play of your favorite games.

What are the different styles of Portrait Pro?

The original Portrait Pro is a set of adapters designed to fit in place of the stock removable adapters on the Backbone One 2nd Generation. It holds your phone in place using a lip that protrudes slightly over the front of the phone.

The original Portrait Pro is only compatible with the Backbone One 2nd Generation USB-C controller. However the Backbone One 2nd Generation USB-C controller is also compatible with the Portrait Pro - Mag Style for Backbone One.
